What:

Register now for the next NFC Forum Plugfest the week of June 6 – 10, 2016  hosted by Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX, USA.

Event attendees can participate in device-to-device interoperability testing and data sharing, and assess their devices using NFC Forum approved test tools*. Participants will also have access to the NFC Forum Interoperability Test Library (ITL) containing NFC tags, NFC devices, and EMV based contactless payment acceptance devices. Recent additions to the IOT Library include Consumer Electronics (CE) devices, Type 5 tags, and GSMA tags supporting the GSMA test suite.

In addition to the above, the Dallas event offers an opportunity to verify interoperability between implementations developed to Digital Protocol 1.0 and those supporting Digital Protocol 1.1. Attendees can also partake in testing LLCP 1.3, Static Connection Handover, and GSMA tag performance.

Plugfest events promote the interoperability of NFC Forum implementations by providing participants an opportunity to verify the level of interaction of their own implementation with other NFC Forum member implementations and tools. Participation should be considered by anyone who has implemented the NFC Forum specifications in a device and has, or will have, working samples by the date of the event.

Testing will occur under the confidentiality agreement as defined in Section 12 of the NFC Forum Rules of Procedure, binding all participants. Non-members need to sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement in order to participate.

Individual participant test results are not reported and remain confidential between the testing parties. The summary information collected during Plugfest events is fed back into the NFC Forum specifications development team to enable continuous improvements. To improve the clarity and testing quality of the specifications, we ask that you submit specification concerns or issues encountered during the testing to the NFC Forum staff available throughout the event.
