INSIDE Contactless Joins NFC Forum Board of Directors

The NFC Forum (www.nfc-forum.org), a non-profit industry association that advances the use of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, today announced that INSIDE Contactless has become a Sponsor Member and joined its Board of Directors. Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co., Ltd. also joined as Principal Member. In addition, organizations from across all segments of the NFC global ecosystem have joined as Associate Members, including mobile handset manufacturers, mobile service providers, payment services providers, chip makers, solution developers, municipalities, and academic institutions.

NFC Forum Global Competition Issues Call for Entries – Awards Ceremony to be Held at WIMA in Monaco, April 23, 2009

NFC Forum Moves Forward With Two New Specifications

NFC Forum Hosts First Spotlight Event: Transport and City Life Applications

WAKEFIELD, Mass., USA June 10, 2008 — The NFC Forum (www.nfc-forum.org), a non-profit industry association that advances the use of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, holds its first Spotlight conference today to discuss and demonstrate NFC transport and city life applications. Near Field Communication Forum Begins Work On Host Controller Interface Specification

WAKEFIELD, Mass., July 9, 2007 — The NFC Forum, a non-profit industry association advancing Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, announced today that it has begun work to develop a specification for a Host Controller Interface (HCI) between NFC contactless controllers and electronic devices’ application processors.
