VISIONFC Transport Summit, held during the NFC Forum’s face-to-face member meeting, features real-world, case study presentations from four of the key operators in Asia and closes with a moderated roundtable of all participants. In addition, an analyst from Global Mass Transit will present a regional review of the Asian public transport market and CH2M will report about the latest mobile development in the US. Finally, the NFC Forum’s Mobility, Identity and Transport (MIT) Special Interest Group (SIG) will provide a summary of recent harmonization results.
“The VISIONFC Transport Summit is a half-day series of sessions featuring lightning talks, presentations and a moderated discussion with key public transport operators and agencies on how Near Field Communication (NFC) technology is transforming mobile ticketing and public transportation in Asia,” said Jean-Luc Guisset, secretary, NFC Forum Mobility, Identity and Transport (MIT) Special Interest Group (SIG). “The summit was conceived to address the mobile ticketing needs and challenges faced by public transport operators, authorities and associations, mobile network operators, handset manufacturers, systems integrators, government officials, consultants, technology providers and test houses.”
