NFC Forum to increase transaction range from 2cm “to three or four centimetres”

NFC World highlighted that NFC Forum executive director Mike McCamon has revealed in a presentation for Contactless World Congress that it will soon be possible for consumers to make contactless transactions with their NFC smartphone from a distance of 3-4cms, a significant increase on the current standard of 2cm.
