The NFC Forum and Universal Stylus Initiative have agreed to work together and deploy new Wireless Charging Specification (WLC) technology to charge active styluses. These will take power directly from your mobile, tablet or laptop using the NFC antenna, which is commonly used for payments or quick pairing of accessories. In this way, you can charge up to one watt.
