Certification Program Manager
The NFC Forum invites qualified candidates to submit an application for our Certification Program Manager. This role will remain open until filled with a target start date no later than 1 October, 2025.
Scope of Position
Your application should outline and address your qualifications and experience to support the NFC Forum Compliance Committee chairs as it relates to the following:
a) Act as certification authority and administrator:

As an independent third party, maintain confidentiality of certification applicants and results, review application and grant certification.
b) Act as test tool coordinator:
-
Align and Organize with Stakeholders (NFC Forum Compliance Committee Chairs, Validation House, Tool providers, and Reference Sample providers) to plan test tool validation for the certification release.

Report to Compliance Committee on the progress of the tool validation.
c) Act as test laboratories’ primary technical and administration contact:
-
Regularly inform NFC Forum test laboratories on the updates of the certification program which could take the form of webinars.

Oversee NFC Forum test laboratory authorizations: visit candidate test laboratories to verify their capability to carry out the test plans and verify they have the proper equipment (conformity to ISO/IEC 17025).

Act as an independent third party to prepare results from candidate test laboratory to get accreditation from NCIRP.
d) Act as a third party contributor of standardization activities:

Participate in Technical & Compliance Committee meetings on a regular basis.

Write meeting minutes for the several groups of the Compliance Committee.

Track requirements updates in technical specifications impacting the certification program.

Take the editor role for some documents of the Compliance Committee.
e) Act as NFC Forum Certification Issue Resolution Panel (NCIRP) chair:

Organize and Chair conference calls which include NFC Forum experts reviewing problem report, technical question, test tool validation report and laboratories measurements during the inter-lab comparison test.
f) Act as Test Plan Generator (TPG) Tool manager:

Create and manage tickets to report bugs to the service provider. Report it to Testing Working Group.

Manage TPG Tool Access and Validation of new releases.
g) Act as NFC Forum Certification Program promoter:

Participate in external organizations on behalf of the NFC Forum to represent its interest.

Participate in webinars to promote the NFC Forum Certification Program.
Qualifications
-
7+ years of relevant professional work experience
-
Master’s degree (MSc) in a relevant technical field or equivalent
-
Specific experience in product evaluation and testing
-
Specific experience in product certification or type acceptance regimes
-
Proficient in reading and writing documentation in English
-
Ability to clearly discuss technical issues with Certification Program users and other NFC Forum stakeholders
-
Ability to maintain confidential information through the availability of an isolated and secure workspace and a plan for secure data storage
-
Willingness to travel internationally
-
Willingness to adjust work hours as needed to accommodate online meetings and events in various time zones
-
Maintain objectivity and high-quality work standards, free from undue internal or external influences (e.g., commercial, financial, or organizational pressures).

Independent of any activities which may influence judgment. If part of a larger organization, there must be a documented separation between their activities and the business goals of the larger organization.

When the candidate is part of a larger organization, documentation outlining the arrangements of operational integrity and a statement from the employer committing to the principles outlined in this section are required. The freedom of judgment and organizational commitments must be specifically addressed.

Certified auditor for ISO/IEC 17025 preferred.
Term of Contract
Initial one-year appointment, with the possibility of annual renewal. Position available on a full-time (40 hours/week), or part-time basis (at least 20 hours/week) depending on candidate availability and organizational needs.

In the past few years, NFC Forum extended its partnership with different external organization making NFC Forum certification to be used and has issued more than 600 certificates to date.
