Announcing Sunset of CR13 on 1 April 2025

The NFC Forum Compliance Committee would like to announce the sunset of the Certification Release 13 (CR13). With the release of the NFC Forum CR14, the NFC Forum Compliance Committee has decided the date for CR13 termination to be 2025-04-01.

The reason for this short period is that CR14 is fully backwards compatible, adding only two new device classes (WPC Ki Reader device and WPC Ki Tag device) and keeping other device classes unchanged. Thus, a device that was passing CR13 certification will pass a CR14 certification.
