From San Jose to Shenzhen: On The Road With The NFC Forum

As we move into spring, not only does the weather start to warm but the NFC Forum’s marketing outreach efforts start heating up too.

April and May of this year will see many NFC Forum members staffing the NFC Forum stands at MarTech West, April 3-5 in San Jose and at Bluetooth World Asia, May 23-24 in Shenzhen.  Member support at trade shows and conferences is important to the promotion of NFC technology.  The NFC Forum is fortunate to have such an outpouring of support for its marketing and trade show programs from its member companies.

MarTech West is a premier marketing technology conference.  Bluetooth World Asia, on the other hand, focuses on innovative designers and developers, as well as founders and engineers from well-known brands who are using Bluetooth technology, often paired with NFC to launch new solutions for IoT.

We are pleased to recognize the individuals from NFC Forum member companies who will be staffing the NFC Forum booths and/or speaking on the complementary technologies panel at Bluetooth World Asia:

What does the NFC Forum have to say at one of the largest RFID shows in the world?

Plenty!

RFID Journal Live will be held from April 2–4, 2019 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.  Approximately 200 RFID solution providers from 26 countries will be there and the show will feature four industry-specific and four technical conference tracks.  In recent years, we have seen growing interest in NFC technology at the show, with many of our members demonstrating their offerings.  Paula Hunter, executive director, NFC Forum will be a featured speaker in the IoT Track.  Her presentation is titled:  The IoT New Opportunity Alphabet: NFC + AI, VR, AR and Blockchain.

Hunter’s presentation will propose that convenient, popular technologies like Near Field Communication are on the verge of a new wave of innovation sparked by solutions involving artificial intelligence (AI), virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR) and blockchain. Her presentation will look ahead to the future and offer a perspective on what the world could look like, how industries are adapting contactless technologies, and where NFC has opportunities to bring the intrinsic values of such technologies to market in exciting new ways with AI, VR, AR and blockchain solutions.
