WATCH: The Future of NFC Wireless Charging with NuCurrent and NFC Forum

NFC Wireless Charging is changing the way we design and interact with small, battery-powered devices. Devices such as smart padlocks can be activated simply by a user holding their mobile phone within range. The padlock harvests power from the smartphone, recognizes that the phone has the correct key and unlocks. This battery-powered lock has the same functionality as a fully powered product but is far more cost and resource efficient to manufacture.
