Highlight major sections with H3

Try to keep paragraphs to 60 words or less. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Donec erat arcu, cursus at elit eget, dictum viverra justo. Phasellus at eros nec purus lobortis aliquet. Ut iaculis iaculis elit sed accumsan. Nunc felis ex, sodales dignissim tincidunt ut, commodo sed tortor. Maecenas at enim sed elit varius dignissim eu non nibh.

  • List bullets should be about 10 words for easy scanning
  • Shorter is even better
  • Excellent
  • When the text is too long, you cannot scan it, you don't really read it all and it messes us the visual continuity of a list.

Minor sections use H4

Nam interdum est ut lorem auctor auctor. Bold text should rarely be used. And I cannot think of any reason to use italicized text since it can easily go missing in copy. Suspendisse aliquam pellentesque lacus sit amet tristique. Donec euismod neque at turpis blandit ornare. Praesent pellentesque leo lacus, nec consequat felis dictum eu. Aliquam nunc ex, vulputate a convallis ut, blandit vel dolor.

When using lists, it's almost always preferred you use the simple bulleted list as above. However, when you have a list of items that DO have a particular order, you should use a numbered list.

  1. Put on socks
  2. Put on shoes
  3. Tie shoes
  4. Leave house

Style Considerations

The primary pallet of the NFC Forum website is black on white.  Some page treatments are white text on black or minimally styled images with the primary foreground color other being back or white. The goal of design is to convey Simplicity and Readability.

  • Text and buttons shall always be left justified in their content block
  • Unless as used as a heading, all text is styled as "Normal".

Decorative Colors

  • Mint #4CD3C3 is reserved for clickable elements
  • Salmon #EF7A73 is primarily reserved for decorative elements
  • Mist #00B0FF can be sparingly (rarely) used for clickable elements

Note: Avoid mixed use of decorative colors, ie for both clickable and decoration on the same page.
