One Day – Two Events – Great Success: NFC Innovation Day

Eight industry leaders presented on the latest developments in the NFC technology world; four NFC experts enlightened audiences about how NFC technology simplifies lives and three NFC innovators were honored with NFC Innovation Awards – we did this all in one day – NFC Innovation Day.

Co-located with the NFC Forum’s member meeting, we hosted NFC Innovation Day, June 26, at the Barbican Centre in London. We were honored to have some of the industry’s NFC leaders speak at the VISIONFC Simplifying IoT Summit. Sponsored by Thin Film Electronics ASA (Platinum Level) and NXP Semiconductors (Gold Level), the summit took a deep dive into the ways NFC and IoT are strengthening brands and delivering remarkable customer experiences.

The summit featured speakers from across industries giving us a glimpse into brand engagement, user experiences and new NFC-enabled innovations.

VISIONFC Simplifying IoT Summit speakers included Matthew Alton, Senior Analyst from Strategy Analytics, who presented “The Ways NFC Can Streamline the UX of Connected Objects”; Davor Sutija, CEO, Thinfilm with “Improving Brand Engagement Across the Consumer Journey”; Cameron Worth, Founder, SharpEnd – The Agency of Things, who told us “How the World’s Biggest FMCG/CPG Brands are Embracing NFC”; Peter Philippens, CTO, IdeAtics BV, who presented “Engaging Customers & Consumers with NFC-Enabled Products & Packages”; Jos Geboers, Director, ECCT B.V., with “Smart Packaging: Sensing, Measuring, Monitoring, & Informing”; Andy Hobsbawm, Director and Cofounder of EVRYTHNG, who gave us a big “Welcome to the New Era of Digitized Consumer Products”; Sylvia Kaiser-Kershaw, Global Marketing Management – NFC Smart Products & Services at NXP presented “Evolving IoT Needs of Brands – Bringing Edge Intelligence through Advances in NFC Technology” and Marie-Françoise Glotz-Bartley, Vice President of Sales, Identification Technologies (IDT), HID Global, with “Lessons Learned from Real-Life Deployments of IoT technology Used by Forward-Looking Luxury Brands”.
