NFC Money Transfer Specification Vs. QR Codes Focus of Digital Payments South Asia Presentation

The NFC Money Transfer (NMT) Candidate Specification will be featured in a presentation by Ursula Schilling Director, Business Development, Infineon Technologies and Vice-Chair for the Retail and Payment Special Interest Group, NFC Forum at Digital Payments South Asia on August 29-30 in Mumbai, India.

The conference is one of the largest gatherings of card issuers and acquirers, mobile wallet companies, third-party payment providers, domestic and international payments schemes, e-payment services providers and payments experts focused on South Asian markets.

Schilling’s NMT  presentation will compare and contrast the NFC Forum’s new candidate specification with QR Codes.  The greater speed and security of NMT along with the benefits it affords the consumer – ease-of-use, efficiency – will be highlighted in the presentation.

About Ursula Schilling

As a Director for Business Development in the Chip Card and Security Division of Infineon Technologies AG, Ursula Schilling is responsible for Payment business development activities within Infineon. Currently Ursula handles the strategic setup and project management with regard to Payment applications. She has more than 20 years of experience in the smart card & EMV industry including business development activities for telecom applications & marketing activities for various other applications. In January 2019 she has joined the NFC Forum as vice chair for the Retail and Payment SIG. Before joining Infineon & Siemens Semiconductors Ursula held a marketing position within Wolford AG responsible for key accounts and worked for four years for British Airways.
