Arnaud Schreiner of NXP Semiconductors Declared Winner Of The NFC Champion Award And This Month’s Member Spotlight

First Industry Independent Certification Program Launched for NFC Contactless Standards
The NFC Forum unveiled CR12 recently the first industry independent certification program for contactless standards that enables manufacturers of contactless devices to proof conformance to newly harmonized contactless specifications. The journey to get to the launch of the certification program was challenging but, ultimately, its success is very rewarding as the resulting improved user experience will positively impact the over two billion smartphone owners in the world.

IoTize Wins NFC Forum Innovation Award
The NFC Forum recently announced the winners of the NFC Forum Innovation award, which is awarded to companies who have made significant contributions in some way to the NFC field through development of NFC products. This year’s winner in the category of the Most Innovative Use of NFC is IoTize SAS for their 3-Stroke Configuration with TapNLink NFC & Mobile Apps for HVAC Systems. Marketing and Communication Manager Steve Gussenhoven took the time to sit down and talk about Iotize’s product and what this award means to the company. Here’s what he had to say:

Transact Mobile Credential Wins NFC Forum Innovation Award
Transact recently won the NFC Forum Innovation Award in the category of Best-in-Market NFC Implementation for their work with universities implementing the use of student IDs for a safe return to campus this fall.
