NFC Forum has announced NFC Release 15, a breakthrough in contactless technology that extends the range of certified compliant NFC contactless interactions by up to 4x. This enhancement enables faster, more reliable, and more intuitive NFC interactions across a growing number of use cases, including wearables, digital keys and wireless charging. NFC Release 15 also marks the latest step in NFC Forum’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, as another core focus is support for the NFC Digital Product Passport Standard.
